The actor adopted a few methods to try and get into his character and portray him convincingly. Since his character in the movie was one who could go back in time and delve into the past of other people’s lives, the actor decided that maybe he should read supernatural and mystery thrillers might help him understand the subject better. So our own Khiladi took to reading the books of Edgar Allan Poe and Guy de Maupassant so that he could get a taste of the macabre and the supernatural. For a man who is known more for his penchant for action than his taste for literature, it sounds funny that Akshay actually took resort to classic literature to essay his roles. The actor has been known to confess that he is not particularly fond of literature and specially the ‘dark macabre’ kind, but he found it helped him to do justice to his role. The film’s premise is based on a 8×10 photograph, which helps Akshay’s character in the movie to do time travel in the movie to investigate the death of his own father. In a way, this kind of dedication is quite expected of Akshay, who is known to go to great lengths to ensure that his action sequences on screen look thrilling and real. In fact, the actor is also taking great pains to ensure that Percept’s 8×10 Tasveer is not delayed any longer. It seems that the actor is currently shooting for Vipul Shah’s Fast Forward in Karjat and also completing his dubbing for Kuknoor’s movie. He is believed to be shuttling between Mumbai and Karjat on a chopper so that he can save time. That’s also dedication for you!
